5. PURPOSE

Upon a deactivation or your membership, we may retain some of your information for use as stated in the previous paragraphs and for purposes not otherwise stated including fraud prevention, collection of fees owed to DOMACON AUCTIONS and other members, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations and enforcement of Membership Agreement, terms and policies, etc., and to comply with legal processes and applicable laws. To facilitate this, some or all of the personal information you provide may be retained in DOMACON AUCTIONS databases and files. However, your membership or visitor personal information will be deactivated from the DOMACON AUCTIONS registered and active databases, and will only be accessed by select DOMACON AUCTIONS administrative personnel in order to perform the stated activities herein.
When you contact us, we may keep a record of your communication in order to contact you regarding your communications inquiry. We may use your email address to contact and communicate information regarding changes or improvements to our products, websites, services, status or other reasons.
We will request your consent before using information for a purpose other than stated in this Privacy Policy.
You acknowledge and agree that although security tools, methods and techniques such as encryption which we employ to protect the personal information of our members and visitors from unauthorized access, such security tools, methods and techniques are not infallible and that DOMACON AUCTIONS cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.
8. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We may store information about you on your web appliance using cookies, which are small text files sent to your web browsing appliance from our websites, and accessed by our websites upon your return visits to our websites. 9. USE Of THIRD PARTY ESCROW COMPANIES
DOMACON AUCTIONS provides access to select third party escrow companies for your convenience in completing the sale and purchase of auction items. A third party escrow company is an independently owned and operated commercial company licensed to conduct escrow transactions. Each escrow company that we make available for your use in completing a sale and purchase transaction has terms and conditions stipulated by the respective escrow company. It is your responsibility to create and have a verified user account at any of the escrow companies you select when creating an auction listing or when bidding on an auction item, and ultimately that you will use to process an escrow transaction for you.
When an auction listing is created or updated, you as a seller will be required to enter your email address that you use for logging into your user / member account for each escrow company you choose to offer to buyers as an option in your listing.
When bidding on an auction item, you as a bidder will be required to enter your email address that you use for logging into your user / member account for the one escrow company you choose from the list of escrow companies offered by the seller as displayed in the seller’s auction listing.
Upon the close of an auction with a winning bidder (the buyer), DOMACON AUCTIONS will automatically create an escrow transaction at the escrow company selected by the seller and buyer through the escrow company selection process. Only the user / member account email addresses that both the seller and buyer enter for the one escrow company that they have selected to process the escrow transaction will be used to create the escrow transaction at the selected escrow company.
The email addresses of the seller’s and buyer’s respective escrow company user / member account will be transmitted to the selected escrow company using secure socket layer technology (SSL) as part of the escrow transaction. These email addresses are not publicly revealed to anyone until the escrow transaction is created, and then only are visible by the other party involved in the escrow transaction and to DOMACON AUCTIONS staff. No other personal information from you is necessary to create the escrow transaction and no other personal information is transmitted. You provide and control your own personal information at the respective escrow company, and neither DOMACON AUCTIONS nor any other third party has access to it.
Each escrow company we use has their own Privacy Policies, which are not part of nor the same as the Privacy Policy of DOMACON AUCTIONS. You are responsible for acknowledging and agreeing to consent to the Privacy Policies of each escrow company that you use.
10. OTHER MERCHANTS
We may occasionally partner with other merchants who provide advertisements, products, services or other offerings at websites that may be accessible through clickable links or references at the DOMACON AUCTIONS websites. Such merchants have their own Privacy Policies that are available at those merchant websites or their operating headquarters. However, DOMACON AUCTIONS is not responsible for the practices or content of these merchants or their websites. We recommend and encourage that you always review the Privacy Policies of these other merchants before you provide any personal information or complete any transaction with or involving such merchants. We do not share any of your personal information with other merchants.
